Series 279C FlowGuard I Hydrant Check Valve
Series 279C FlowGuard I prevents reverse flow through a fire hydrant, stopping intentional distribution system contamination or accidental cross connections through a fire hydrant.
The AVK FlowGuard hydrant security check valve will fit any manufacturers dry barrel fire hydrant with a 6-inch Mechanical Joint at the inlet. The AVK FlowGuard I prevents reverse flow through a fire hydrant, stopping intentional distribution system contamination or accidental cross connections through a fire hydrant. A clear waterway and free swinging disc ensure the valve does not interfere with fire-fighting operations. The check valve is a low head loss design similar to AVK’s Series 41 swing check valve.
